While many veterinary clinics provide dental services, the quality and expertise can vary significantly. At Midwest Animal Dental & Oral Surgery, we pride ourselves on being one of the few facilities with a board-certified veterinary dentist and oral surgeon on staff. Our team is highly skilled and knowledgeable, allowing us to diagnose and treat even the most complex oral and dental issues that might be missed elsewhere. Like your own dentist, our focus is solely on your pet's oral health.
Meet Dr. Douglas Winter
Dr. Winter, a board-certified specialist in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery, has undergone years of advanced training in animal oral surgery, medicine, dentistry, anesthesia, and pain management. This extensive education enables him to diagnose and treat a wide range of oral problems effectively.
He has achieved the esteemed Diplomate status, or Board Certified Dentist designation, from the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC). The AVDC is an accredited specialty college under the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and currently, there are only around 150 veterinary dental specialists in practice today.
